LGLO

Date: Feb 13 - Dec 31, 2012
Time: 9:00am

Do you ever feel like God is too far away? Are you trying to live by a checklist of things you have to do in order to get close to Him? Are you tired of trying to be good enough? Welllllll...... He's right there with you, dump the checklist and know He loves you right where you are regardless of your past. It's time to walk into a relationship with Christ and not a religion about Him. Simplify your view of what it is to be a Christian. Even Christ wrapped everything up in Mark 12:30-31. I'm not even going to copy it in this post because if you don't know what it says, you should go see it for yourself since it's His love letter to you.

As we go forward in 2012, I want everything we do to fall under this simple creed.....LGLO. Love God, Love Others. Our church has done well in our efforts of outreach to the community (LO). Still, our best days are ahead of us. Therefore let's build stronger personal relationships with God as individuals. Not just the corporate ones we have on Sundays or in home groups. Our relationship with God is personal and should be felt even when nobody is around us. It's time to get back to the basics of LG. Our goal is to broaden our foundations from every child to the most seasoned members to build a stronger congregation. As we grow personally, the congregational bonds will be strengthened. As we are strengthened, the needs of the community will be met more completely. So go read John 13:34-35. Let's be recognized as true disciples of Christ and not products of religion.
